FAQS

Where can I see a black bear?

There have been bear sightings at every cabin. The cabins with the most frequent visitors would be Sleepy Bear and Dip in the Smokies. Sleepy Bear was actually named after a black bear that LOVED to hang around the construction site during building. While they are very cool to see and seem super cuddly and soft we ask that you do NOT feed the bears as it could lead to injury or damage to the property.

What can I expect when we arrive for our retreat?

Our commitment is to provide a top notch, relaxing stay at our cabins. You will be welcomed by a nice welcome basket and a cabin that has been freshly cleaned and prepared for you. You can find reading material on the surrounding area and the cabin you are staying in as well as rules and guidelines. There you will find any needed passcodes for wifi or special instructions regarding any of the many amenities. All of our cabins have ample parking for larger groups.

What does the area have to offer?

The area you're staying in has many historical and tourist aspects to it, often seamlessly interwoven. The larger area, Pigeon Forge has a long main strip (441 Parkway) which has countless restaurants and attractions. This includes the Island, dinner theaters, and eye grabbers like the Hollywood Wax Museum (look for King Kong). Continuing south you will drive through the beginnings of the National Park, great for jeep tours and hiking, before you come to the bustling, historical town of Gatlinburg. Another main strip boasts many tourist shops, local wine and moonshine tastings, and fun activities such as the Aquarium.
